Match: Knutsford 3 Away to Prestbury 5

Readers , Sitting pretty in 2nd place in the table , 10 points clear of the nasty Vagrants , this was a must win match , however , a few players missing ( including the captn , again ) , would Prestbury cause a wobble ??

First up Gwyn at 5 , dragged up from the Fourths against much improved Ben Parker . Gwyn put Ben's nose out a joint in the first but it was soon one a piece , before Gwyn quit the tin and romped home 3-1 , phew !.
Next up Mr. Hindley , a rapidly developing Thursday night man , who devoured his opponent like he was covered in his favourite relish , 3-0 , so far so good .
Menacing Steve O'Hare against the tricky Barry Edwards , lots of drops and flicks , but Steve has moved on and closed our match out with a 3-0 win .
Smithy arrived to face Gareth out for revenge !! . Blasted 9-1 in the first , Gareth fought back 9-4 in the second , but Smithy was on fire and took the tie 3-1 .
So to Neil R. playing 4 against the wily Pete Lonsdale . A tussle , both playing to each other strengths , but finally a 3- 0 to Neil coming back from 8 ………. In the last 2 games .
A 20 -2 Victory for Knutsford 3 - Promotion still on the agenda - plus great hospitality from Gareth and his team and Ros with the food - excellent evening , cheers Bill
