Second placed Knutsford travelled to table topping Club AZ2 with a strong team hoping for a win . Gary Cashmore led us off but against the talented Simon Gulliford , he went down 3-0 ( 9-5,9-4,9-5 ) . The much improved Steve O'Hare went 2-0 down in tight games before battling back to 2-2 . Unfortunately his experienced opponent held his nerve to triumph in the fifth ( 10-8 ,9-7 ,8-10 , 6-9 , 9-4 ) . So not a good start as Dave Smith took to the court , but quickly dispatched his opponent 3-0 ( 5-9 , 5-9 , 9-10 ) . Could Tony Hindley level the match ? no worries here , another 3-0 ( 9-3 , 9-5 , 9-1 ) . So down to John Evan to secure a win for the team and a superb display to run out 3-0 ( 9-4,9-4,9-1 ) . Victory to Knutsford 3 by 16 points to 6 .
