Knutsford 1 v Crewe Vagrants 2

Knutsford dwindling in the lower half of the division, needed a good win.

Crewe Vagrants turned up with a couple of youngsters who were keen for a match.

First up was the tanned Chris, on in a self proclaimed 4th string against Gareth Jones.  No problems here for Chris and he battered him 3-0 without much of a fuss.

Next up was Perry at 5 against Jon Wheeler, who looked like a ninja with his bandana.  A furious affair, Perry didn't look like he was going to lose this one and comfortably finished him off in fine style.

So 2-0 up and Burkey on next at 2 to take the match for knutsford.  But what was this?? A 14 year old super ninja!! Brandishing similar head gear to Jon, the confident young man (i say man, i mean boy) was joining the 3rd division having won 2 matches at no.2 in the 2nd division!!!  Burkey looked worried.  No worries in the first 2 as John took them comfortably. James's head started to drop.  But his squash game stood firm and he had John gasping for breath around the court.  Our man had run out of puff and James ran out a 3-2 winner.

Could Glen bag the win for us? He felt sorry for his muscle clad young opponent, and decided to give him a 0-6 handicap for the first 2 games.  He still came back comfortably to win them both and demolished him in the 3rd

Match won for knutty and Risley, just back from illness, on last at 3 to increase the credit for us.  No worries as he demolished Steve Clayton 9-1,9-1,9-2.

So good result for the firsts and up to 3rd in the division.

Onwards and upwards!!!! Tally-ho.
