1^st on was Keith Edminson (won 9-0, 9-0, 9-1) an easy win playing at 5 due to a cold.

Nigel Uttley next (won 9-7, 9-3, 9-4) against Gary Evans at 4. Nigel's experience proved key in an entertaining game.

At 1 Steve Costello lost a tough 5 gamer against Rob Thorneycroft (9-10, 1-9, 9-3, 10-8, 9-10). Thorneycroft started efficiently with a succession of ultra tight boasts, and took the first game. The second followed in the same way. Steve claimed the 3^rd as he found his form and clawed his way back to 2-2 and was 8-6 up in the fifth when Thorneycroft stepped up his game boasting to the front, wrong footed Steve to take the match despite being dead on his feet, unlike Steve who had picked up and looking strong.

Next Greg beat Rupert Richards (9-0, 9-4, 9-1). After the match at dinner Rupert confessed that Greg was too good.

Next was David Waring playing at 3 tonight, he beat Kevin Wynn (9-7, 9-7, 9-2).  Wynn made the most of his long reach and his movement across court was good but he struggled moving front and back and Dave had no problem tucking the ball away.
