Knutsford Sports Club is a Community (non profit making) Amateur Sports Club (CASC), with around 550 members. We aim to provide facilities for, and promote participation of, the whole community in the sports of Tennis, Archery, Squash and Cricket.
Cricket has been on the site at Mereheath Lane since 1881 and in Victorian times the site was used generally as a sporting area.
Tennis was played on the site in the 1930s and was re-formed in 1970. There are 7 floodlit all weather courts. *Currently there is a COVID-19, 3 month membership trial for tennis. Further information is found on the tennis section link*
Squash built their two courts in 1984 and added glass backs in 2018.
Archery arrived in 2011 as the North Cheshire Bowmen. *North Cheshire Bowmen is pleased to say that our members returned to archery on Monday, 15th June 2020, on a restricted basis. The indoor range remains closed but our archers can book a two hour session to shoot outdoors.*
We are sad to announce Mr Randle Brooks recently died peacefully at his beloved Peover Hall.
Many of you will know that the sports club and cricket field exists as a result of his interests in providing community assets - along with Knutsford Heath and Little Heath. His family has always been very supportive in maintaining our community sports facility.
On behalf of the Sports Club Committee and all members of Archery, Cricket , Squash and Tennis we send our condolences to the Brooks family.
Facilities include both indoor and field archery ranges, the cricket pitch and practice nets, two squash courts and seven all weather recently re-furbed, floodlit tennis courts. The Clubhouse offers showers, changing facilities, lounge bar, a modern kitchen and spacious function room.

Most of our facilities are available for hire by the general public and local organisations.
As we are a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) we do give priority to local groups.
